Now they’re gearing up for playing and training with the team at Sporting CP for a full week, soaking up knowledge, the spirit and the passion of this Portuguese powerhouse.

A dream for most young players, now a reality for the six talents from Norway, Sweden and Finland, after qualifying through our NF International training camps.

“What I like the most about the NF Academy is that they gave me the opportunity to prove myself in one of the best European academies”, said Lotta Lindström, one of the winners.

Same opportunities for both genders

As you probably already know, the best player in each category at NF International events and some of the top performers during the year will win a spot at the NF Qualification Camp. This event will be attended by Sporting CP’s Scouters who will choose up to eight players to join their teams for a week in Lisbon.

In order to create the same opportunities for both genders, in 2020, NF Academy and Sporting CP agreed that all the winning girls will not participate in the NF Qualification Camp, but will automatically win a week of training at the Sporting CP academy!

Take a step ahead in your development

All players who want to improve try to train as much as they can to speed up the learning process.

But why do some improve faster than others? Do they put more time into training?

We believe that the time a player invests in training is not the only key point to reach the next level. The quality of the training and experience in different contexts is also an important factor.

Martine Fenger already joined several NF Academy programs. She attended to local camps, international programs, the NF Virtual Academy and now she will join Sporting CP for a week of training.

“The more she trains in different contexts, the more I feel that she is developing as a person and as a football player”, says the NF Academy director João Plantier.

Over the past 3 years, NF Academy designed several different programs with one main goal: regardless of the position, age, level or gender, we want to help youth football players to achieve their goals.
