WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Our new NF Indoor Training program is an excellent opportunity to keep improving your skills with likeminded players during the wintertime. The coaching team, with background from leading Portuguese academies such as Sporting CP, SL Benfica and others invite you to join us for an intensified indoor training program.
Giving personal feedback following the NF methodology, our expert coaches will introduce you to an exciting range of specialty exercises in top-notch indoor facilities. This environment is not only practical for drills and practice but also fun and social for the whole family to join.
WHO IS IT FOR?
NF Indoor Training is a camp for boys and girls from the age of 8-16 who are motivated to get better and develop a greater understanding of the game. To make sure all participants get challenged at their level, we create smaller groups based on level and age. By participating at the camp, all players also have a unique opportunity to showcase their ability for our licensed scouts for Sporting CP, which can lead to invitations to play at our teams in international tournaments and potentially tryouts for leading European academies.

GOALS WITH THE PROGRAM
NF Academy has a clear vision of contributing to developing more international top-players. Through our local training camps, we are going to give players valuable learning that they can bring back to their daily training. At NF Indoor Training we will focus on:
- Give eager players a throughout professional program that promotes development, game understanding and joy
- Give all talented players an arena to fully commit, also during winter time
- Stimulate the development of social skills by learning to integrate in new groups and meeting new friends.
- Share competence with clubs in the region where all coaches are welcome to observe our sessions.
- Give players international challenges by inviting them to programs abroad

INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Our coaches does an internal evaluation of all participating players. Based on the evaluation and the level of the player, we give invitations to train with European academies of top quality, our scholarship program, participation in international elite tournaments with our elite teams, or participation in international training camps. Throughout the last year, many players have participated at a local camp, and has been chosen and invited to train with academies of top quality.

PLAYER OF THE CAMP
We want to inspire players to work hard at our training camps and will announce a «Player of the Camp» in the age segment 13 to 16. Players who win the award will receive a gift certificate for local training and a photo on our «Wall of Fame».

QUALITY TRAINING AND INSPIRATION
The participants in our programs will get to experience the training methods of the leading academies in Portugal, such as our partner Sporting CP.
These are highly effective methods, perhaps best illustrated by the fact that on the national team of Portugal that won the European Championship in 2016, as many as 10 of the 14 players who played the final had a background from Sporting CP’s academy.

Methodology
We work by the principle «to teach the game by playing it». Our exercises are therefore developed to recreate the intensity and complexity that the players experience in the different situations of the game. The sessions are of high intensity, many involvements with the ball, focus on taking the right decisions and giving the players a better understanding of the game. In all of our activities, our main objective is to develop the player. For the players that wants to train regularly with NF Academy we focus on the following:
- Intensive training designed for player development
- Individual follow up over time
- Training adapted to the level of the player and their goals for learning
- Play games against teams that gives the players sufficient challenge to increase their level as a player
Training groups
At our local training camps, we differentiate both level and ages to create homogeneous training groups. Each training group normally consist of 12 to 20 players + goalkeepers. Every training group is being coached by an experienced Portuguese head coach, and will normally also be assisted by a local coach who speaks the local language.
Coachs
João Plantier is the Academy director of our local programs and is a UEFA PRO certified coach. He is responsible for choosing the skilled coaches that will represent NF academy at our camps. With more than 20 years of experience developing players, and 7 years of experience as an academy coach at Sporting CP Plantier does have the perfect competence and network to put together a team of coaches that will take the skills of the players to the next level

Why should Scandinavian players participate in the NF Academy Programs?
“I see a big potential among the NF Academy players. Players that participate in our programs are focused and willing to learn. Technically they have good control of the ball, and they are at the same level as Portuguese players at the same age. What the Norwegian players are missing is that they have too few games and training with and against players that can challenge them on their actual level. This is something we can contribute with by giving them, in a combination of giving them a better understanding of the game.”
